 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I called Overhead Door Company of Greensboro early in the morning after realizing my garage would not open. The dispatcher was very polite and concerned about my situation. There was a team at my house around lunch time that day. The two guys assessed the problem and had the repairs made in a very short period of time. When they finished the repair I noticed one of the guys hitting all of the door rollers and hinges with oil which I thought was a nice touch that would often go unnoticed. The repair ticket was presented and explained to me and then they were on their way. I would definitely recommend this company for any garage door work.

He did fix the main problem that was there ever since it was installed, which was the push button pad inside the garage to open and close. The door only worked sometimes and eventually very rarely ever since it was installed. He unscrewed from the wall, push the door button up and down several times reinstall it and said it was just installed too tight. That’s why it never worked right from the beginning so very simple and that was great. While he was inspecting the door, he stated the door felt very heavy and readjusted it so that the motor would not have to work so hard, which was great since I didn’t know that and I didn’t have to ask for any additional service. I did ask about the door doing a lot of groaning and clunking which it didn’t do when it was initially installed. He did lubricate the door hinges while he was here, but it didn’t make any difference in the groaning and clunking of the door. So I’m assuming the groaning and clunking noises are just part of the door.

There was a technician at my house at 2 PM. He had it fixed and good as new in less than an hour. I made the mistake of calling a competitor of OHD and spent $400 and the door still did not work  after three service calls they wanted to sell me a new door and motor for $5000.  I made the decision to get a second opinion and although it did take two visits, it got fixed and has remained fixed!  I don’t remember the gentleman’s name but he was courteous and professional and got the job done   I will definitely be using OHD for my maintenance and if and when we do need a new door and motor.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was very impressed with Jim.  He called in advance of the appointment to let me know he was coming.  Upon arrival, he went right to work and found the problem, fixed it and greased the hinges and even repaired the bottom of the door that had a loose piece.  He was very thorough. I’m pleased and grateful to have my garage door operating again.
